Three Ghanaian citizens have been extradited to the United States to face charges in connection with a massive international fraud operation accused of stealing over $100 million through romance scams and business email compromise (BEC) schemes.
The individuals Isaac Oduro Boateng aka “Kofi Boat”, Inusah Ahmed aka “Pascal”, and Derrick Van Yeboah aka “Van” were handed over by Ghanaian authorities and arrived in the U.S. on August 7, 2025. They are scheduled to appear before U.S. Magistrate Judge Robert W. Lehrburger.
A fourth suspect, Patrick Kwame Asare aka “Borgar”, is still at large. The case has been assigned to U.S. District Judge Arun Subramanian. The FBI alleges that the suspects held key roles in the operation
