New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer hopeful, Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum, has expressed confidence that the party will select him as its presidential candidate for the 2028 general elections.
Speaking to the media after receiving the nomination forms on Thursday, August 14, Dr. Adutwum said, “We are on track, and by the grace of God, my party, I believe, will vote for me and make me the flagbearer of the NPP.” He described the party’s victory in 2028 as the start of a transformative journey for Ghana.
Dr. Adutwum emphasised that his campaign would focus on building a stronger, self-reliant nation, tackling poverty, and creating prosperity for all citizens. “The poverty and deprivation will be over,” he asserted, pledging a future that surpasses both the present and past achievements.
He also reflected on Ghana’s progress under past administrations, acknowledging their contributions while noting that much work remains. “That is what Adutwum’s presidency will be about,” he added.
Urging party members to support his bid, Dr. Adutwum concluded: “My party, give me the opportunity. Provide a bridge for me to cross to the other side. And once we get there, we will meet Ghanaians and let them know that our future is going to be better than the present and the past.”
