The Ghana Railway Company Limited (GRCL) has temporarily suspended its Accra–Tema shuttle service due to technical challenges.
In a notice issued on Tuesday, August 12, the company announced that the service would resume on Monday, August 18, 2025.
“The general public is hereby informed that due to some technical hitches, the running of the Accra–Tema shuttle service has been temporarily suspended today,” the statement said.
GRCL apologised to passengers for the disruption and assured them of efforts to restore full operations promptly.
The Accra–Tema shuttle is a vital daily transport link for thousands of commuters, especially workers travelling between the capital and the port city.
