BetPawa has expanded its popular Locker Room Bonus initiative to cover both men’s and women’s football teams in Ghana.
The announcement came during the launch of BetPawa’s renewed partnership with the Ghana Football Association (GFA) ahead of the new season. According to the company’s Head of Local Marketing and CSR, Borah Ndanyunga, the move is aimed at promoting equality and rewarding effort across the sport.
“Every time, both men’s and women’s teams will receive equal locker room bonus support, whether on match days or at the end of the season,” Ndanyunga said. “We see the efforts and struggles of players who dedicate themselves and are passionate about the game. This is our way of showing appreciation.”
Introduced in October 2022, the Locker Room Bonus is a performance-based incentive that rewards each player with GHS 400 after every league win. With a 20-player squad, a single victory amounts to GHS 8,000 in collective bonuses, offering a significant morale and financial boost across a successful campaign.
Last season, Bibiani Gold Stars ; winners of the Ghana Premier League we; are among the beneficiaries of the initiative. With the expansion to women’s football, BetPawa hopes to further motivate players and strengthen the competitive spirit in Ghana’s game
