Dreams FC have been rewarded for their impressive debut campaign in the CAF Confederation Cup, earning 26th place in the latest CAF Club Rankings.
The “Still Believe” side collected 12 points after reaching the semi-finals of the 2023/24 edition. Their historic run ended with a 3-0 aggregate defeat to Egyptian giants Zamalek, despite securing a goalless draw in the first leg in Cairo. The achievement made them the first Ghanaian club to reach the last four of the tournament since its inception 20 years ago.
Dreams FC remain the only Ghanaian team in the top 50 of the rankings.
Medeama SC have also made the latest list, placing 51st with 4 points. The Mauve and Yellow reached the group stage of the CAF Champions League on their first attempt, though they fell short of advancing to the knockout phase.
Notably absent from the rankings are Ghana’s most decorated clubs — 1983 CAF Champions League winners Asante Kotoko and 2004 Confederation Cup champions Hearts of Oak.
The top three positions in the CAF rankings are held by Al Ahly of Egypt, Mamelodi Sundowns of South Africa, and Esperance de Tunis of Tunisia.
