The Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA) has launched a nationwide Lorry Terminal Project to bring key services directly to commercial drivers, cutting out long trips to DVLA offices.

From renewals and replacements to foreign licence conversions, international permits, and upgrades, drivers can now process their documents right at major terminals with on-site eye testing in partnership with the Ghana Optometric Association.

“This project is tailored for you,” DVLA CEO Julius Neequaye Kotey told drivers at the Kaneshie Station launch. “Licences must be renewed every two years, with mandatory eye exams to ensure vision standards are met.”

Commercial drivers have welcomed the move, saying it will save time, money, and keep them compliant.
