Ghana Football Association (GFA) President, Kurt Okraku, says the FA is ready to collaborate with “credible betting companies” interested in featuring matches from Ghana’s football ecosystem on their platforms.
Speaking at the GFA’s 31st Ordinary Congress, Okraku clarified that no betting company currently holds rights to offer wagers on the Ghana Premier League, Division One League, or any other domestic competition.
He stressed that past incidents of match-fixing linked to betting were illegal, adding that the FA is actively pursuing legal action both locally and internationally against companies that unlawfully take bets on Ghanaian matches.
“No betting company is allowed to take bets on our domestic competitions,” he said. “We are open to partnerships with credible legal betting companies who wish to engage with our football ecosystem transparently and ethically.”
