The Executive Chairman of the Jospong Group of Companies, Dr. Joseph Siaw Agyepong, has expressed deep sorrow over the August 6 helicopter crash that claimed the lives of eight Ghanaians, describing the incident as a national tragedy.
In a statement issued on Sunday, Dr. Agyepong said the loss was “heartbreaking — to their families, to the Government, and to the Nation they served with honour and distinction,” adding that “Ghana has lost true patriots.”
The victims of the crash in the Ashanti Region included government officials and military personnel:

- Alhaji Muniru Mohammed Limuna
- Samuel Sarpong
- Samuel Aboagye
- Squadron Leader Peter Bafemi Anala
- Flying Officer Manaen (Amaning) Twum Ampadu
- Sergeant Ernest Addo Mensah
“On behalf of the entire Jospong Group, I extend our deepest condolences to the bereaved families. Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time. May their souls find perfect peace,” Dr. Agyepong said.
The August 6 crash in Adansi Akrofuom occurred during an official mission to Obuasi, killing senior government officials and Ghana Air Force crew members. The tragedy has united the country in grief, with condolences pouring in from political leaders, the military, and the corporate sector.
