In a circular dated August 13, 2025, Justice Baffoe-Bonnie, who has been serving as Acting Chief Justice after the suspension of Chief Justice Gertrude Torkornoo, confirmed that the most senior Justice of the Supreme Court will take over responsibilities during his time out of the country.

The circular, addressed to all Justices of the Supreme Court, Court of Appeal, High Court, and heads of judicial divisions and units, was also copied to members of the Judicial Council, the General Legal Council, and the Acting Judicial Secretary.
